Systematic Donation Plan
Financially strengthening the impoverished sufferers of cancer and kidney disease

Donation Plans

Generally, most of the donations are event-based and sporadic. People usually donate to charitable organizations on their birthdays/wedding anniversaries or in memory of their elders or on a festival, etc. You can also donate for a one-time cataract or heart surgery. None of these is wrong but with only these kinds of donations, it is difficult for charitable organizations like Sukruthi to commit support to poor patients every month, especially for those who need long term support, like kidney dialysis. One of the children we support is a 3-month-old baby which is suffering from chronic kidney disease and needs dialysis till it reaches 4-5 years when it may opt for a kidney transplant (if at all). The child needs to undergo dialysis twice every day, every day of the month, every month of the year for at least 4-5 years. Sukruthi supports such people on a monthly basis for which we need regular monthly donations.

What Are Systematic Donation Plans (SDPs)?

You might have heard of Systematic Investment Plans (SIP). Systematic Donation Plans (SDP) work exactly like SIPs.

Our systematic Donation Plan is a regular donations plan that allows donors to automatically give a specified amount to Sukruthi each month. Systematic Donation Plans are very similar to you saving every month to buy a car or home in the future.

Food for thought - we earn a salary every month, we earn interest on our deposits every month, we pay our mobile, electricity, water bills every month, we pay our EMIs every month - then why not donate to charity every month?

Benefits of Systematic Donation Plans

Stable, Reliable & Dependable source of income

benefits.jpg

For us, it is a source of reliable financial support and brings in predictability which allows us to plan how many more people we can support in the coming months. Dependable sources of income are especially valuable in the wake of the uncertainties that Covid-19 brought in 2020. Monthly donations are an opportunity for us to secure a steady stream of income to get us through the year and the challenges that come with it.

Minimize admin effort

Like most NGOs, Sukruthi also has a very lean staff to run our operations. Monthly donations allow us to keep the admin work minimal to keep our operations running smoothly. Imagine the amount of time required to reach out to new donors and follow up with them for raising funds. All that time would be saved if those donors gave automatically on a monthly basis.

Easier for Donors

Many people want to do their bit for the society and are looking for ways to give. It may be daunting for donors if we ask for one large donation. But asking for a monthly contribution can seem more manageable for them, like paying their other bills. Ultimately, smaller donations in steady increments add up and can be more valuable than one-time donations.

In this way you are holding yourself accountable to your commitment to use your personal resources to fight the effects of extreme poverty in India.

With a strong foundation of donors, we can better support our earth-changing work in the long run.

“Giving is not only our duty but also a privilege. And we will do everything in our power to be transparent about our contributions”.
